Will the school give my student Tylenol or Advil from a school supply?
No. The school is only able to dispense medication that parents/guardians have brought in for their student. We don't keep medication for general use.
May my student bring in his/her own medication?
No. Medication kept in the school clinic must be brought to school by a parent or guardian. Exceptions would be if you have already completed an Authorization To Carry Prescription Medication form for your student
When should my student stay home from school?
Fever (over 100.3) and fever free for at least 24 hours without the use of fever reducing medication
Active vomiting or diarrhea - has been vomit or diarrhea free for at least 24 hours
Strep Throat - has been fever free for at least 24 hours without the use of fever reducing medication and has been on antibiotics for 24 hours
Flu - until there is no fever for at least 24 hours without the use of fever reducing medication AND symptoms have resolved. This could be between 5 to 7 days.
